...the Introduction bit

Greetings everyone, and a very warm welcome to my Blog.spot.

My name is Darryl, born and raised outside a small City, called Chester situated in the North West of the UK, in-between the Cheshire border and Wales. Since the early age I can remember (as i'm sure many of you reading this probably can relate) I first got introduced to Aircraft at an Air Show which was a local one, at ICAO: EGNR Hawarden airport.  Quite a dynamic airport, for Airbus parts to be flown out to Toulouse and Germany.  I remember, in that moment seeing Hawk's and Chipmunks zooming past my head, with a felling of "wow, i wish I could do that".

From that moment on, I have taken steps through school which based on the choices I made, was always around Aviation and one day becoming a Pilot.  So, I joined an ATC or Air training Corps which is known more commonly as Air Cadets.  This was to be my 1st real opportunity to fly an aircraft for perhaps 20 mins, which would be given through dedication to the ATC and rewarded for service, in Poppy selling, learning about Radio Telephony, shooting a riffle and competing - which, i became 2nd best shot in wales 1994.  From this moment on, I noticed two things.  One, that I could now apply for a Military scholarship for Gliding, where there were two steps.  1st step, to complete 8 hours of flight training, of which at the end, you would complete a solo circuit and upon completion (or returning safely to earth) I would receive my SILVER wings.  So now, that brings me on to step: Two.  I also noticed that there we're staff cadets whom would assist with duties of the Airfield.  All voluntarily  but this was key to being given a chance at free flights that would later lead, to flight training supported by the RAF.  I followed this route, and after 1 year of commitment of weekends, showing up punctually and being respectful to leaders, I was later considered and fast tracked later that year becoming a TMG (Touring Motor Glider) rated Military Flight Instructor.

I spent 11 amazing years, flying out of EGOE: Ternhill, with some of the most committed and inspiring pilots I have ever known.  They really we're an inspiration to helping me succeed and provided me with the confidence to compete in the Air League for their school, coming 2nd two times in a run for both 1995 and 1997.

During my entire time at RAF Ternhill, I was also fortunate enough to save and spend 3 summers in Florida, where I got my PPL with IMC/Night ratings and took the piper Warrior out and ripped up Florida.  Was an experience I will never forget.

So, at this point in my life, I am left wanting to to build something and take on an amazing challenge to build my very own, Full motion, Collimated display 737 NGX Flight Simulator.

...Welcome to DS Simulation & Project
